News that plans to turn Pinner Park Farm into a country park have been put on hold. This was revealed at the third annual general meeting of the Friends of Pinner Park Farm in March by Georgia Weston who also revealed that Harrow Council have agreed to commit the remaining project funds of £91,000 to improvements and repairs to the existing farm.
Mike Banfield, committee member, said the news was welcomed by all at the meeting. He said: “They confirmed the support for retaining a working farm on the site. Pinner Park Farm and the land it occupies has a long and important history and the current tenants, the O’Hara family, have invested funds and outstanding efforts in farming a prize winning herd of pure-bred Aberdeen Angus cattle and visitors to the farm are welcome by arrangement with the farmers.”
There are weekly health walks from North Harrow which traverse the public footpath straight through the middle of the farm, from where the general public can get a closer look at the cattle enjoying life on the farm.
