Hatch End Riverside Park
The Hatch End Association in conjunction with Harrow Council and the Harrow Arts Centre have created a new Riverside Park and with the help of our local councillors who have invested their NCIL money into the project.
This summer (2025) the Park was awarded Green Flag status and a flagpole has now been erected to allow the green flag to be flown to denote excellent facilities and respect for the environment. The HEA installed a new “Julian Maw” bench in the Park in a tranquil location beside our Silver Jubillee weeping willow. Julian was Chairman of the HEA for around 20 years. The wildflower meadow was looking glorious in June but the flowering has ended and in August a working party of the “friends” cut it back with scythes to let the seeds fall for next year’s display. The hay was collected in September. The “friends” have also been given a further grant to plant a fruit tree orchard in the Park and are considering the best location. If you wish to join the “Friends”, or receive their newsletter via email, contact chairman Graham Buckland on riversideparkhatchend@gmail.com.

I would like to help with the riverside park project. I leave locally and have spare time to help.
