It has been decided to cancel our Litter Pick scheduled for 19 September. Even though there has been easing in the assembly regulation caused by Covid -19 we do not feel we can ensure a safe protected environment. We are not in a position to sanitise the equipment used in the litter pick-up. We also feel that there would be concern in maintaining the 2 meter distancing during the picking and it was scheduled close to the children’s return to school. It is therefore with regret that the Litter Pick-up is cancelled.
However, we are hopeful that we will be able to return to normal next year. The planned dates are:
- Saturday 20 March
- Saturday 19 June
- Saturday 18 September
The Association organises litter pick-ups three times a year on Saturday mornings to clear up rubbish in Hatch End where other services do not reach. We provide gloves, protective tabards and ‘pickers’ together with sacks for the rubbish. St Anselm’s generously provides much-needed refreshments.
Please come and help – all are welcome
